Following the announcement of new social distancing measures we await further guidance from the UK government on the implementation of these measures.
In the meantime, the UK government has that businesses can stay open, if is impossible for a job to be performed from home. This applies to all sectors (examples include construction or manufacturing), assuming that the place of work itself is not on the list of businesses and premises to close, e.g. clothing retail.
The guidance published later today will provide further detail, as well as lay out ways to ensure workplaces are implementing the best policies to keep their staff safe. Please note this guidance is different in Scotland. We will keep you updated with developments as soon as possible
