CORONAVIRUS SUPPORT GROUP
The North & Western Lancashire Chamber and OBAS UK’s CEO and chair of Age Concern Central Lancashire, Norman Tenray, are rallying a call to get behind the NHS, frontline workers and an army of volunteers to unlock supplies urgently required.
Local businesses and education establishments that are closed are urged to release all available vital equipment such as dust masks, vinyl gloves, aprons and other personal protective equipment (PPE). It could make a huge difference to the supply chain where vital equipment and stocks are urgently required.
Everyday supplies are also being sought, these include: bottles of water, canned drinks, soap, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, hand lotion, biscuits, snacks, crisps, tinned products, microwaveable foods and pot snacks.
Mr. Tenray said: “I am encouraging organisations with resources available to call the Chamber who are acting as a coordinating point for stock release and availability. They can be contacted on their Coronavirus Hotline: (01772) 653000.”
