It’s important that we gather intelligence from businesses like yours so we can lobby Government to make the right interventions.
For example, the British Chambers of Commerce, to which we’re affiliated, was pro-active in calling for help for the self-employed and pressing for the Job Retention Scheme payments to cover employers’ National Insurance and pension contributions as well as wages.
Also we have had confirmation that the requirements for personal guarantees against the first £250,000 on the Government’s Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) has been removed as a result of intervention by the British Chambers of Commerce.
