New guidance has been provided to the College of Policing on how Coronavirus government legislation should be enforced by the police. Please note that this guidance is for England only. In relation to staff travelling to work, the guidance states the following:
• Anyone who cannot work from home is allowed to travel to their workplace.
• You do not have to show that you are a key worker or that your work is critical.
• The police are advised not to ask for proof that you are going to work, the guidance requires them to ‘police by consent’.
