Coaching Skills for Leaders is a highly interactive and engaging one day workshop introducing the key principles of coaching. Delegates will spend the majority of the workshop in small groups of two or three to practice techniques which are essential for coaching to be effective.
What makes a good coach? The key attributes will be covered in this workshop, such as building rapport, active listening skills, questioning skills, summarizing, giving feedback, establishing well formed outcomes and understanding the origins of beliefs, such as self limiting beliefs which may prevent someone from believing they can achieve something or take action.
What are the key differences between coaching, mentoring and counselling? Can a manager be a coach? These questions will be raised for the delegates to consider. A simple framework for holding a coaching conversation will also be introduced. Different coaching methodologies will be briefly introduced.
On completing the workshop candidates will be able to:
