Forbes Solicitors discovered that where there was a will, there was a way for them to help out a local hospice.
In order to encourage people to make a will, the company participated in Will Week and donated all of the will writing fee to St Catherine’s Hospice, Lostock Hall.
“Solicitors in our department gave their time and will writing expertise for free, in return for a donation to the hospice,” said Jennifer Wilkinson, Associate at Forbes Solicitors.
“St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity that offers invaluable support to people in the community. We know that they rely heavily on financial support from their local community to survive and we are delighted that we are able to contribute towards this.”
In all, Forbes raised £2,395 by writing 30 wills during Will Week and many of the participants where friends, or volunteers at the hospice.
St Catherine’s offers specialised, personalised services for adults facing conditions such as cancer, heart failure and motor neurone disease and helps people in our community affected by serious illness, enjoy quality of life and have dignity in death.
