Make 2021 a year for your employees to thrive!
Right now many have made the shift to work from home, something we thought would be temporary. Nine months ago it’s likely we didn’t envisage that we would still be working remotely. Nor did we anticipate that this would continue in some way for 2021. The Pandemic may have changed our working practices forever!
Time has been great in many ways to help us adapt, and the return of children to education, has helped the home to become a more productive workplace. Some have been able to blend home working with some days in the office.
However, leading blended teams or those working from home long-term has highlighted the need for additional knowledge and skills. A different level of ‘ human’ leadership, more education supporting managers to notice the often subtle signs of mental health, wellbeing and productivity issues.
Relentless e-mail communication and zoom fatigue has resulted in misunderstanding, miscommunication issues and a lack of connection and engagement within teams. Creating safe spaces to talk and truly connect through structure and engagement needs to be even more intentional, an often underestimated, fundamental principle for human flourishing.
I’ll be talking about how to create an engaged workplace . how communication has a positive impact on wellbeing, mental health and results and how important it is for us to take notice and become more aware of the current needs in the workplace.
