Manufacturing has always been an important part of Lancashire’s economy and will continue to be into its future.
Whilst the Chamber regularly campaigns on issues which affect our local business community, more recently manufacturers have been telling us a more tailored representation approach is required for this vital sector.
It is with this in mind, the Chamber is creating a Manufacturing Committee, chaired and made up by members operating in this field of expertise.
With the support of the Chamber’s policy unit, the Manufacturing Committee will aim to be a strategic group to promote the interests of manufacturers in our region. and focus on policy initiatives that can support this important industry to Lancashire’s economy.
It will champion and lobby for specific strategies and policies that benefit the members – from incubation to maturity, with a specific focus on skills, innovation and growth.
If you would like to join this group, in the first instance, please contact Geoffm@lancschamber.co.uk for further information.
