Developer, asset and property management company, FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), launches partnership with the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
Chorley-based FIREM has embarked upon a new collaboration with the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, becoming Patron Partner for Commercial Asset and Property Management.
The new partnership will see the business work closely with the chamber to support regional businesses, develop strategic connections and create positive social and economic impact for the local community.
The property and asset management company is currently investing heavily in the redevelopment of Chorley’s iconic 21-acre Botany Bay site. The new development is anticipated to create extensive industrial and commercial space as well as bringing hundreds of new employment opportunities to the local area.
As part of its development of Botany Bay, FIREM has committed to delivering a programme of local economic and social benefits to ensure the development has a positive impact upon the area and creates a lasting legacy in Chorley.
As a major employer within the Lancashire region, FIREM’s new partnership with the chamber forms part of the business’ ongoing commitment to Lancashire, becoming a valuable network through which it will fulfil its social value commitments and better serve the county.
FIREM has been providing asset and property management and facilities management for more than 40 years. More recently, the business has expanded into serviced offices, construction, storage, warehousing and distribution and development as part of its continuing investment in its home region.
With 15m sq ft of industrial, office, retail and land assets across the UK, as well as 5m sq ft of new build developments in the pipeline, FIREM is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing privately owned commercial property groups.
Tim Knowles, Founder and Managing Director of FI Real Estate Management commented: “Our success over the past 40 years has been made possible through three vital things – our people, our expertise and the collaborations we forge with local partners. Building relationships in the areas in which we invest is absolutely vital to creating developments that serve businesses and local communities, but also ensures that we do so while making a positive impact on local economies. We look forward to working with the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to further support the region’s growth and continue to create opportunities for training and employment for local people.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce said: “We are delighted to welcome FIREM as patron to the Chamber. As a major employer in the area, FIREM is committed to fulfilling its social values and we very much look forward to working with them to achieve their principle aims.
