A support group is on the lookout for new premises in and around Preston city centre.
Support and Education for Eating Disorders (S.E.E.D) Lancashire is presently based at Howick House, Penwortham.
However, the organisation is now hoping to move into alternative surroundings, either on their own or on a shared basis.
Officials are seeking a minimum of two rooms measuring 200sqft with the ability to book further rooms for meetings and therapy sessions.
They would also be willing to pay £800 a month in rent but could pay more if bills were included in the price.
In terms of shared facilities, the company would need the use of:
- Reception area
- Photcopier/franking machine
- Kitchen
- Toilet facilities
- Car park
- Telephones
- Internet/Wifi
“The property needs to have good links to buses and trains,” added a S.E.E.D spokesman.
“The building needs to meet disability access standards and we need to have at least one of the main offices and a therapy room on the ground floor or use of a lift.
“We’d like to try and find somewhere within the centre of Preston as our current base at Penwortham is difficult for some people to reach.
“We are sharing with a few other charities at the moment so, ideally, we’d be looking to move at some point within the next couple of months.”
