On 30 October, the newly appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer will deliver her first, hugely anticipated Budget, accompanied by a fiscal statement from the Office of Budget Responsibility.
With the Labour Party having been elected on a platform of boosting economic stability, the new Government will be assessing the state of public spending, already having reported a ‘black hole’ in the nation’s finances.
On the back of the King’s Speech, Labour’s first Budget is expected to feature initiatives for growth, and low carbon, alongside plans to balance the books, across the spectrum of personal and business taxes, as well as employment policy.
Following the success of the Chamber’s last ‘Budget Briefing’, we are delighted to be staging the event once again on October 31st, the morning after Rachel Reeves’ first Budget.
The ‘Budget Briefing’ will be hosted by a BBC Political Reporter, and feature expert analysis from the British Chambers of Commerce, Ben Kumar from 7iM and LBC, and feature a panel who will dissect the Budget, as well as sharing their expertise to help businesses to lessen any potential impact.
Our Panel:
Robert White – Brabners
Mark O’Neill – Amber River True Bearing
Zowi Whittaker – Fox Group
David Armstrong – BAKO
Andrew Dodds – AD Systems
The audience will be made up of decision makers, making it a ‘must attend’ for business owners, directors and senior managers. Refreshments and a complimentary light breakfast will be served.
