Having last year relocated sailing operations to La Linea in southern Spain and seeing a massive increase in bookings, Chamber member Atlas Sailing has decided to further boost their appeal by transferring over the Mediterranean Sea to Greece.
As from August, Atlas will be based at Lavrion which is on the Greek mainland but the cruising grounds will now cover Greek Islands in the Cyclades and Saronic Gulf.
Skipper Andy Dobson says: “Due to the amount of requests by people to put cruises together for Greece and the natural appeal of the area itself, which is probably the best cruising grounds worldwide, it was not a difficult decision.”
Year round sailing holidays and sail training will still be provided with Athens being the nearest airport used. Guests will be met and transferred to Lavrion, where the yacht Atlas will be based.
The cruising holidays and training courses in Spain have been fully booked for quite some time and with demand for more Andy decided to put on one extra week for an Autumn cruise at their new Greek base in November.
Although sailing activities are now based in The Med, the activities are still coordinated from their office in Lancashire and can be contacted on 01253 208840.
