Following the success of the Chamber Roadshow Network launch in July, The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Robins and Day Peugeot in Preston, held the second “Chamber Roadshow” Network event to promote businesses and organisations in Lancashire.
The event took place Wednesday, 14th October at Robins and Day Peugeot where businesses from across Lancashire came together to build and support commerce amidst many fine vintage Peugeot cars, some of which dating back nearly 100 years.
“It was a really relaxed-yet-professional atmosphere which made networking fun and effective,” said Lesley Shepperson, Managing Director of Shepperson and Shepperson. “It was my colleague’s first Chamber networking event and he came away with a very positive first impression!”
Philip Walker, General Manager of Robins and Day Peugeot gave a brief summary of the storied past of the Peugeot automobile and more specifically the Preston dealership he manages on a daily basis. He presented a brand new Peugeot, free for the weekend, to lucky winner Hayley Massie-Warhuirst, of Hays Recruiting.
“We have members who are restauranteurs, hoteliers, and in this case, auto dealers, who all share a passion for building business. Because of that we try to involve as many of them as possible in the networking events we hold” said Andrew Hamilton, Events Manager for the Chamber of Commerce. “Its great to see so many Lancashire businesses, like Robins and Day Peugeot, getting involved to help promote the local economy” he added.
The North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has a membership of 1500 and will offer its last Chamber Roadshow Network event of 2016 in November with an entirely new schedule being launched in 2017.
