Health and Safety In The Workplace Level 2 has been developed to give you a better understanding of health and safety in the workplace. We will discuss potential hazards that you may face, how to assess potential risks and the best way to deal with hazards. Persons gaining this qualification will clearly recognise and communicate that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within an organisation, its contractors, visitors and suppliers. The subject areas of this course are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as important to maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.

Programme duration – 1 day

Aims: To increase the students’ knowledge & understanding of Health & Safety procedures within their workplace role and to lessen the risk of injury to self and service users.

Objectives: Students will be able to Identify & describe:

• The roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• How risk assessments contribute to health and safety
• How to identify and control the risks from common workplace hazards
• Know the procedures for responding to accidents and incidents in the workplace

This course enables you to create the safest workplace for your organisation to protect your staff, clients, and contractors by increased understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace, therefore, reducing the risk of work-related injuries.

This program has a 30 question multiple choice examination at the end which is marked externally by HABC.
