C.A.T – Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Training – is a Lancashire based Company run by Karen Livesey that offers training workshops in understanding Child Sexual Exploitation. C.A.T aims to address the importance and need for adult’s knowledge and awareness of the vulnerabilities of children and young people by offering education, understanding of prevention and identifying clear action related to Child Sexual Exploitation and Safeguarding. The Training workshops are interactive with opportunities to learn more about CSE through group work, presentations, activities and discussions.
Karen established her C.A.T. Training service following 26 years of working as an Advanced Practitioner and Senior Youth Worker for Lancashire County Councils Young Peoples Service. Karen is a qualified teacher, experienced trainer and youth worker with extensive experience of working with children and young people in Lancashire. Karen has knowledge and understanding of the significance of Child Sexual Exploitation as part of children and young people’s Safeguarding, well-being and vulnerability. Karen completed training as part of Lancashire County Council, “Safe & Sound – Just Whistle” CSE specialist trainers and PACE (Parents Against Child Exploitation).
Training Delivery
Training sessions are interactive with an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation, current issues and changes, legislation, Safeguarding, the impact of Social Media and the vulnerabilities of children and young people.
