The UK’s leading law firm Slater and Gordon has signed up to become a patron member of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce (NWLCC).
This will see the company step up its involvement with the Chamber and give it a greater influence on policy, as well as raise its profile in the local area.
Patron members of the Chamber pay an increased subscription fee and enjoy a bespoke package of membership benefits that are uniquely tailored to their individual needs and wants.
Babs Murphy, NWLCC chief executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Slater and Gordon as patron members as it is an established and very well-known company.
“We aim to have a patron business from each of the core sectors we represent and it is pleasing to have such a high-profile solicitor firm sign up.
“Our Chamber works hard for its members and for Slater and Gordon to enhance their membership in this way is a clear endorsement of what we do here.
“I am very much looking forward to working with the firm and enjoying a long association with it.”
Stephen Chalcraft, principal property lawyer at Slater and Gordon, said: “We have just opened new premises in Preston and we are keen to get involved with the local business community.
“We have been members of NWLCC for some time now but we wanted to become patrons so we help the Chamber in its work supporting Lancashire businesses and highlight to the local area our expertise.”
“Our commercial real estate team can advise you on landlord and tenant issues, investment acquisitions and disposals, residential and commercial developments (including mixed use and complex regeneration schemes), property joint ventures, and public sector land transactions, as well as well-established international property capability.”
“We’re also able to advise you on related planning and environmental issues. Our specialist construction team can advise you on all aspects of construction contracts, professional appointments and warranties. In addition, our business advisory team can give expert advice on aligned to property law.”
NWLCC’s patron package is offered to businesses that want to demonstrate a strong commitment to working as a key partner with the Chamber to support local businesses and is the most exclusive business opportunity the Chamber provides.
Other patrons of NWLCC include 3D printer-makers Ultimaker and Preston’s College.
