The Chamber hosted South Ribble MP Katherine Fletcher, plus members of the transport and policy committee for a discussion regards the ongoing abnormal loads update.
We have been approached by several members who have been having issues transporting abnormal loads on A-roads and motorways with the police asking to escort them, rather than using private escorts.
The Chamber is now in communication with a working group consisting of members, road organisations and the wider network in a bid to come to some sort of solution to the issue.
