B&FC for Business have become the newest Patron Member of the NWL Chamber of Commerce and official higher-level training partner.

Their programme will compliment and add further value to the Chamber’s annual training programme, offering a series of higher-level and accredited courses to further enhance the skills of the Chamber members’ employees.

B&FC for Business understands the importance of empowering business workforces and offering individuals opportunities for personal growth and career development.

Claire Lee, Business Development Director at Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) says: “As a Patron Member, B&FC and its commercial wing B&FC for Business, are proud to be working in partnership with the Chamber to further support our employer partnerships across Lancashire. The strategic partnership between the Chamber and B&FC for Business sees a stronger, more collaborative approach to meeting the needs of industry and commerce.”

More than 1,800 businesses – including Ford, BAE Systems, Jaguar Land Rover and the NHS – choose B&FC to deliver education and training programmes and are an important part of the College’s ongoing story.

The Chamber’s Patron Membership package has been developed to offer a select number of quality organisations a partnership platform promoting their unwavering commitment to the continued strengthening of the region’s business community – by standing shoulder to shoulder with one of the county’s most highly respected business support organisations, the NWL Chamber of Commerce.

Patron membership is the most strategic and influential partnership the Chamber offers and is limited to just a handful of selected organisations.

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce commented:  “B&FC for Business are a powerhouse in terms of education and training.  We are delighted that they have chosen to become the latest Chamber Patron member and work more closely with us to deliver yet another tangible business benefit to Chamber members.

“The Chamber represents its 1,600 members, from its offices in Preston and Blackpool, on a wide-range of issues, including red tape, transport, legislation, finance and international trade.  But more than that, it really does play a key partnership role in Government regeneration initiatives to the benefit of all businesses in our region.

“Each Patron has committed financially to the Chamber beyond the cost of the standard annual membership subscription. The Chamber depends upon the support and goodwill of our members, sponsors and Patrons, who provide financial and other support for the Chamber’s activities and to its members.

Babs Murphy went on to say “I would like to thank Claire and her team at B&FC for Business for putting something back into the local business economy through Patron membership.  I hope the relationship between the two organisations continues to strengthen.”
