Chancellor Rachel Reeves is set to deliver her Spring Statement on 26th March.

While there is not expected to be any major policy announcements from Whitehall affecting the business community, decision-makers will be listening in for any changes which could affect them.

Businesses are still digesting – and putting in any changes – delivered by the last Budget in October which saw major reforms for national insurance and how organisations operate.

With the economy seen to be underperforming and global factors, such as US trade tariffs, indirectly impacting the UK, there is growing speculation over whether the chancellor will break her self-imposed rules on borrowing.

Several policies such as a cut in the welfare budget to encourage people to return to work, and a rise in the UK defence spending, have already been announced.
