Lancashire’s largest business support organisation, the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, has welcomed innovation funding specialist, Catax, a Ryan company, as their latest Chamber Patron.

Headquartered in the North West with a team spanning the UK, Catax, a Ryan company, has committed to working with the Chamber to offer fellow members their knowledge in securing tax relief on research and development (R&D) investments, grant funding, Capital Allowances, and more.

Catax has identified nearly half a billion pounds in tax benefit for their clients to date, with their average client benefit being £77k for Capital Allowances, £84k for R&D and £52k for the Patent Box. Grant funding is another valuable service that Catax supports businesses with.

The organisation has quickly grown to become one of the most respected, nationally, within their field, through providing a top-quality audit and application service for a sizeable client base in many different sectors.

Dawn Coker, Group Strategic Partnerships Director at Catax, a Ryan company, said of the partnership: “Catax has chosen to work closely with the North & Western Lancashire Chamber as a Patron Member because of their enthusiasm and dedication to supporting local businesses.

“The region is brimming with innovation, and as we are also a partner of Boost Business Lancashire, this alliance with the Chamber was a perfect fit for us. We pledge to deliver a range of innovation funding services to fellow members and the region’s wider business community.”

The Chamber’s Patron membership has been developed to provide local businesses with a platform to promote their unwavering commitment to the region’s business community through offering first-class services and customer care.

Patron membership is the most strategic and influential partnership the Chamber offers and is limited to just a handful of selected organisations.

Babs Murphy, Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce commented:  “Catax is a respected and recognised regional business, and a proactive member of the local business community. We are delighted that they have chosen to become a strategic partner, through Chamber Patron membership, to work closely with us to deliver an additional business benefit to our members.

“The Chamber represents its 1,600 members, from its offices in Preston and Blackpool, on a wide range of issues, including red tape, transport, legislation, finance and international trade.  But more than that, it really does play a key partnership role in Government regeneration initiatives to the benefit of all businesses in our region.”

Babs Murphy went on to say “I would like to thank the team at Catax for putting something back into the local business economy through Patron membership. I hope the relationship between the two organisations continues to strengthen.”
