The art of human-powered watercraft racing is coming to Preston on Sunday 5th June. Join fellow competitors as we take to the waters of Europe’s largest inland docks.
The competition, part of a twelve month programme to celebrate the Chamber’s Centenary, will take place across the day, with teams vying for victory in a tournament style competition.
We suggest a crew of twenty people for the team’s entry; we’ll supply you with a professional helmsman who will steer for you. Entry is priced per team, please make sure you have enough people-power to row the boat, you are welcome to have a crew of up to twenty people, enabling you to ‘rest’ some of your rowers, if you feel it necessary.
We’ll take care of all the arrangements, the boats, the order of racing, the necessary equipment, instructions and safety briefings. All you need to do is field a team and have a willingness to take home the trophy!
You are welcome to bring along banners and team gazebo (no larger than 6m x 3m). Please encourage non-competing members of your workplace to attend the event and cheer you on; it really does help.
