Potholes, train services and the state of transport infrastructure was on the agenda at a special roundtable event, attended by the Chamber.
Secretary of State for Transport, Mark Harper, faced questions from transport representatives across Lancashire at county hall.
The timing of the meetings came at an opportune time, as the Chamber is currently looking into an abnormal loads policy issue on behalf of one of our members.
Questioned by our policy manager, Mr Harper said he promised to look into the issue whereby some police forces across the UK had taken the decision to step in to escorting abnormal loads on main A-roads and motorways, while charging more than private firms.
Several Lancashire MPs have also written to the government for clarification on legislation.
On the issue of potholes, the government has promised the give cash to local authorities to help rectify the growing problems on our roads, while several billions have been promised for local infrastructure, including bus and rail hubs.
