Blackpool Council and Fylde Borough Council are seeking members of the public to work as an ‘independent person’.
Working with both councils’ monitoring officers, the three people appointed will assist in dealing with allegations of member misconduct through consultation with officers and members where required.
Two of the three vacancies will act as a lead person for each council with the third to act in the event of absence or unavailability.
The post is not salaried but the independent persons will receive £500 per year plus reasonable travel expenses.
