Rory Egan Thomas, head of the SME Programme at Virgin Atlantic, will join us to discuss how they as an airline are encouraging small and medium size business in their quest for international trade. He will also share details of Virgin’s transatlantic programme from Manchester, across the North Atlantic to the U.S.A, and the Caribbean.
The US is the UK’s largest export market for goods and services and the world’s largest economy. With low regulatory barriers, minimal language barriers and access to the global supply chain, it offers huge potential for UK exporters. However, the US is a federal system, not a single national market.
Frank Levene from Blue Link Worldwide will introduce an array of speakers from the both the United Kingdom and the United States to explore opportunities that exist for UK exporters, as well as issues such as intellectual property, taxation, legal requirements and advice on where is best to set up if you are looking to establish an operation, stateside.
