When Lancashire Business Day returns on November 27, it will take place in one of the county’s newest and most exclusive venues taking #Lancashireandproud as its theme.
The event, now in its third year, will once again bring the business community together to celebrate all things Lancashire on this year’s official #LancashireDay.
It will be the first of its kind in the brand-new Crow Wood Hotel which is the latest addition to the luxurious 40-acre Crow Wood estate in Burnley set to launch this autumn.
It will be the third time Lancashire Business Day has taken place, debuting in 2017 then returning with more guests and more to celebrate in 2018.
The 2019 event will again feature high profile speakers and in-depth panel discussions focusing on the issues affecting Lancashire businesses. There will also be showcases of the best the county has to offer, and the opportunity for all delegates to network and meet with potential customers and suppliers.
And once again, all in attendance will be treated to locally-sourced food, drinks and entertainment throughout the event. The menu will be devised and delivered by head chef of the global award-winning Bertram’s Restaurant.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine and founder of the annual event, said: “Lancashire Business Day is the culmination of the message we work all year to share: Lancashire is a fantastic county to live, work and do business in. We say ‘if you can buy it in Lancashire, buy it in Lancashire’ and this is the ultimate showcase of what’s available and why it’s great to work with your neighbours.
“We are looking forward to celebrating the county with businesses of all sizes and descriptions and to amplifying our message to a national and even global audience.”
Olivier Brown, director of host venue Crow Wood Hotel, said: “We are absolutely delighted to host this year’s Lancashire Business Day.
“The event is a fantastic chance to celebrate the local businesses we know and to meet new local businesses throughout the day. It is an ideal way to introduce our new hotel to the county and we are already working hard to ensure the event is a resounding success for all involved.”
Lancashire Business Day Patron, Iain Round, Beever and Struthers who have supported the event since 2017 commented:
“Lancashire Business Day provides a fantastic platform to promote our business community, and also enables us to celebrate commerce and industry across Lancashire and encourages trade within the county. We are delighted to be involved once again.”
The official charity partner of the event is Community Foundation for Lancashire. Karen Morris, development director for the charity said: “As an organisation that facilitates charitable giving to community grassroots causes, we have a strong track record working in partnership with the county’s thriving business sector and are delighted to be the official charity partner for Lancashire Business Day.
“Donations to the Community Foundation will go towards supporting groups and individuals making a positive difference to the lives of Lancastrians. That includes our Women’s Fund, to help women feel safe, empowered and confident in the face of significant adversity, and our iWill 2019 fund that seeks to increase the participation of young people in meaningful social action.”
Lancashire Business Day once again takes place on November 27, the date the county first sent representatives to parliament more than 700 years ago.
More details of the guest speakers and expert panelists will be revealed closer to the day, but the mission is already clear.
