Young Chamber ‘Your Future Career’ Event, Blackpool

This careers event at The Oracle, Blackpool is for 14 -24 year olds. There will be the opportunity to talk to local employers and training providers from across the Fylde Coast. Interactive workshops will be running throughout the event, as well as a chance to attend our free CV or mock interview workshop.

This will be an exciting and engaging event for young people aged 14-24 to get directly involved in shaping their future career! The young people attending will be able to discover different career paths and employment opportunities available to them in their local area.

This Your Future Careers Fair will give young people the chance to interact with businesses and may have the option to try out first-hand the activities associated with working in that industry. They may get to talk to employed young people and attend interactive workshops to get a better idea of and prepare for the world of work. The young people may be able to gather a variety of information on further study in the form of Apprenticeships, College, University courses and more.

By the end of this Your Future Careers Fair young people should be able to make a fully informed decision on their future career and have the information they need in order to progress.

At this Your Future Careers Fair young people may be able to:

• Find out what industries they can get into in their area
• Talk to businesses and ‘have a go’ at real work activities
• Talk to employed young people and get their views on future careers
• Get involved in interactive workshops to better prepare for the world of work
• Gather information on apprenticeships, what is involved and how to apply
• Gather information on enrolling in College or University courses
• Receive a free goodie bag for attending
