Chamber members Home Instead Senior Care have received the UK’s highest accolade for business success – the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2016.
The award from Her Majesty The Queen recognises the brand’s contribution to society, which helps thousands of elderly people continue to live in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, happily and healthily for as long as possible.
Commenting on the award, local franchise owner Robert Godson said:
“We are proud to deliver Home Instead’s service locally across West Lancashire and Chorley. Home Instead was launched in the UK in 2005 and both Gail and I were proud to commence our service in West Lancashire and Chorley in early 2012. Since then the brand has grown to a national network of 175 offices, caring for 8,000 clients, providing five million hours of care each year.
“We are proud that the company has won many awards, as have many of our wonderful CAREGivers, in recognition of the quality of care we provide. As you know, it is our declared mission to change the face of ageing and this award is proof that we are well on our way to achieving this aim and locally it comes hot on the heels of our own West Lancashire and Chorley office receiving an Outstanding rating by our regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC), one of the first three to be rated Outstanding in England.”
A total of 249 businesses were named in the Awards this year.
