The latest on the future of HS2 will be discussed at the Lancashire Economic Breakfast next month.
Alexandra Batey, Phase 2b Development Director at HS2 will be giving an insight into the latest phase of the project and how it could potentially lead to thousands of extra jobs for Lancashire’s supply chain, should the project reach as far as the county.
Alexandra joined HS2 Ltd in 2022, having previously been at Transport for London (TfL) for nearly 20 years where she took on several leadership roles including Head of Public Transport Sponsorship and Director of Investment Delivery Planning.
She will be joined by finance expert Stephen Gregson, who will be giving an overview of the Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), which will give business leaders attending an exclusive glimpse into how the Lancashire economy is progressing.
Following publication of the QES results, this is the first opportunity for firms to receive an up-to-date briefing from the largest business survey of its kind in the UK.
The event will take place at Preston College on 12th October from 7.30am.
Delegates will receive a thorough commentary concerning the current state of business confidence across Lancashire examining emerging concerns reported by a broad range of sectors. It is important for local business owners and directors to be in tune with the economic activity and performance of their business environment.
This free-to-attend breakfast event offers a valuable insight into Lancashire’s business economy for the quarter, keynote speeches, and plenty of business networking opportunities.
Additionally, you will be able to meet fellow business owners, partners, directors, and key stakeholders of the Lancashire business community.
A light breakfast will be served, and you will receive a synopsis of the QES report, exclusive to this event.
