Chamber member, Lustalux Ltd, is celebrating its 30-year anniversary. In 1991, the co-founder and Managing Director of Lustalux Richard Lancaster and his then business partner Jeff Simnor combined two window treatment franchises and formed Lustalux.
Over the course of the last 30 years, Lustalux has grown from a small niche of solar control, privacy and safety window film installation to become nationwide window film, architectural wrapping and signage specialists.
Progression has seen Lustalux move from home offices to a unit on Eldon Street in Preston and since 2003 residing in their Docklands HQ. When Jeff Simnor retired in 1999 Richard was joined in the business by co-director Andy Macdonald. Richard commented “This is an incredible milestone for any company. I am honoured to have led Lustalux to success however it is down to the hard work, passion and dedication of our talented team that the real magic has happened.
One of the biggest growth areas in recent years has been the design and installation of striking wall murals for residential care home and educational installations.
The company now has an in-house design team headed up by Laurie Edmondson who created Lustalux’s bold new branding. The design team works closely with the customer to create stunning and meaningful concepts to brighten up and meet the needs of any location.
Another growth area has been the firm’s move into the architectural wrapping arena. For anyone looking for a sustainable refurbishment solution, Lustalux has the perfect option with a vast range of finishes that can be applied to doors, walls, desks, counters and cupboards. Wood grain, metallic, stone and concrete effects can be applied transforming “tired” surfaces into stunning features to enhance a space without the need for extensive renovation.
In its 30 years, Lustalux has delivered thousands of projects to customers from as far south as Cornwall and as far north as the Orkney Islands. Find out more about how this company can help with your business needs at Lustalux.co.uk
