Following a tendering process, we were delighted to be selected by Lancashire County Council as the sole provider for the transport of waste materials from LCCโs facilities in Lancashire.
The contract will start on 1st April 2023 and the initial term will be 3 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years.
We will provide these services each day of the year with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Yearโs Day from our Leyland depot.
As a result of the contract, we will be recruiting a further 20 drivers, as well as an order for additional vehicles having been placed, with the vehicles due to arrive in March.

Following on from the opening of our Railhead in Leyland earlier this month, trains have been flying in and out of station, with multiple deliveries of aggregates being hauled out to customers in the past couple of weeks.
Due to the high demand, we have now increased the amount of trains delivering aggregates to the station which is fantastic news for the group.
With the railhead allowing us to reduce our carbon emissions by a substantial amount, it’s brilliant to see so many of our customers wanting to get their aggregates in a more sustainable way.
With local deliveries of the aggregates also carried out by our electric vehicles, customers are able to have a nearly carbon neutral journey
With 5 trains having entered the railhead this week, we are on track for 10 next week due to demand.

Following on from our landmark order of the UK’s first two electric tipper wagons last summer, we are delighted to place an order for more electric wagons to be added to our fleet.
The wagons, Volvo FMX Battery Electric 8×4 Tag Tridem, will be delivered in the summer of this year, and will again be based out of our Leyland depot. The wagons will be assisting with deliveries from our Railhead in a further effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
Featuring 3 Electric motors 490kw – 666hp continuous power, we’re looking forward to testing their capabilities and continuing to be pioneers for electric vehicles.

We’re expanding overseas, with a brand new depot opening in the Isle of Man in early February.
The Fox Group depot will be a plant hire depot, with a vast range of machinery from Hurt Plant, CRH Plant and B&W Plant Hire
We’re delighted to be expanding overseas, having previously worked on the Isle of Man for government contracts and shipping from Glasson Dock.
The new depot gives us a footprint further geographically, and we look forward to creating new relationships.
