The Environment Agency is currently recruiting a new Board member to chair its Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
They are looking for a qualified accountant or Finance Director, who can question and challenge constructively, bring diverse views and see the opportunities to create better places for people and wildlife.
This role brings many opportunities, including:
• the ability to influence action on the most critical environmental issues of today;
• the opportunity to work with committed people to create better places for communities and wildlife as well as support sustainable development;
• the opportunity to provide strategic leadership to the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee to set the committee’s tone, work style and agenda, influence risk management and apply expertise to new challenges.
The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England. Board members make decisions on a wide range of critical environmental issues, from the regulation of waste, water, nuclear and carbon intensive industries, through to flood risk management.
