In light of the recent organisational change announcements at Rolls-Royce plc, they are interested in any support that you may be able to give regarding opportunities that their displaced employees could potentially be considered for. Their timetable of announced reductions will be spread out over the next 18 months and as you will appreciate, they are still in the early stages of consultation, and still exploring opportunities to mitigate the impact of these reductions.
They have recently run a Voluntary Severance programme which has been available to a wide range of skilled employees, predominantly across Engineering and Factory Staff skills (Engineers, ME, Fitters, Inspectors, etc) and as a consequence there are over 1500 employees leaving the business in July and August. Some of these employees will volunteer on the basis of retirement, but some may wish to seek employment elsewhere and to that end, we are encouraging those employees leaving to utilise the ‘Talent Retention Solution’ (TRS) to identify and apply for other external opportunities where applicable.
Rolls-Royce is one of a number of companies in the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sector participating in the Skills & Job Retention Group and sponsoring the TRS programme, which works to facilitate the recruitment, re-employment, and retention of skills within the sector. We feel that TRS also offers an efficient and effective way of connecting those employees leaving with interested organisations.
We would therefore encourage you to make use of TRS, and you will be able to access profiles of those leaving Rolls-Royce and interested in further employment at: https://talentretention.biz/rolls-royce. There is no charge for using this service if you link into the TRS platform through the Rolls-Royce URL stated.
Over the next few weeks affected Rolls-Royce employees will start to post their profiles to the site, but TRS could still assist with your resourcing requirement more generically as there are currently many job seeking individuals registered on the site and seeking future employment. Further information on TRS can be found at www.talentretention.biz or by contacting support@wincon.co.uk
