the Fox Group announce the acquisition of Muck Away and Aggregates organisation, Tipworx Ltd, in a deal which further solidifies its national footprint of multifaceted services.
Paul Fox, Managing Director of the family-run Fox Group, says: “This acquisition makes perfect sense for us. Tipworx is a well-run business with great people and has a track record of providing excellent services to a wide range of clients across the region. It also means that we get a welcome boost to the Group’s existing fleet of vehicles, and recycled aggregates supply.”
Established in 2014, Tipworx specialises in muck away and aggregates, as well as providing a rental fleet of 9 wagons. Based in Stockport, the company has a wide range of clients across Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Manchester, and the Northwest.
Paul Fox continues “Tipworx and Managing Director, Darren Brocklehurst, are a welcome addition to the Fox Group. It is a major part of our Group’s continuing strategy of growth.”
As part of Fox Group, Tipworx will now be able to offer the group’s further services, including plant hire, to their existing customer base.
Fox Group has made several strategic moves to expand its capacity and reach in recent years.
With this latest deal, Fox Group now boasts a combined 360-strong wagon fleet and more than 4,500 items of plant and machinery, together with over 860 employees.
Established in 1932, Fox Group specialises in haulage, plant hire, earthworks, and aggregates.
Fox Group have been committed to boosting their sustainability initiatives in a bid to reduce their carbon emissions. June of 2022 saw the introduction of the UK’s first electric tipper wagons into the groups fleet, with additional EV wagons set to arrive this coming summer. Furthermore, the recent opening of the railhead has allowed the group to more than halve their carbon emissions by increasing stone deliveries without the need to increase their fleet size.
For Tipworx, the journey has just begun with the continually expanding Fox Group.
