This course gives an increased knowledge and understanding of the reasons for safe manual handling procedures, Regulations and Legislation, the need for Manual Handling risk assessments and how they relate to improving health & safety. It also identifies the principles, types of equipment and testing associated with manual handing safety to ensure the safety of staff and clients alike and shows how these safe manual handling principles can be put into everyday practice. Students will be able to apply safe manual handling principles to enhance their every day working practice.

Delving Deeper into Project Management

Designed for those who have previously attended the Project Management Essentials course, with some hands-on experience, Delving Deeper into Project Management includes more focus on strategic planning and leadership in more complex project environments. Participants will leave equipped to manage ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and drive projects that deliver measurable value—confidently and proactively We do not focus on specific project management IT systems, as there are many available – rather, the course content develops and enhances core project management expertise which can be applied to many situations and can help ensure any IT solution is used as an enabler to change, rather than its driver.

An introduction to Incoterms® and their importance to international trade. Understand the history and purpose of Incoterms®, how they are used, the practical issues to be considered, and sources of additional help and information. Commercial matters will also be discussed including the impact of Incoterms® on costs and profitability. The definition of each Incoterm® will be covered as well as practical topics such why EXW is not suitable for international trade. An understanding of Incoterms® is fundamental to international trade.

Understanding Commodity Codes

An introduction course providing candidates with fundamental skills and knowledge to prepare and process a system of classifying their parts for both import and export. It is fully supported with user friendly and up-to-date notes (including practical experience on classifying products using the UK Global Tariff) to ensure the skills learned can be used effectively back in the workplace.

Level 3 Emergency First Aid At Work Course – 1 Day

09:00 - 17:00

This Emergency First Aid at Work course is a one-day training program designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge and skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies in the workplace. This first aid course is ideal for smaller workplaces presenting few health & safety risks with candidates learning Basic Emergency Aid in accordance with the syllabus of subjects taught as set out in the First Aid at Work Regulations 1981 – Approved Code of Practice 2009. After successful completion of the course and assessment, an attendance certificate is issued qualifying them to work in industry as an Emergency First Aider for a period of three years.
