RfM Chartered Accountants put their best feet forward to raise money for the firm’s chosen charity.
The company, which has bases in the likes of Leyland, Fylde and Morecambe, saw three members of staff complete ‘The Firewalk Challenge’ and generate funds on behalf of the Furness General Hospital’s Oncology Unit.
Managing Partner Elaine Harris, Farm Accounts and VAT Manager Tracie Roberts and Business Development Manager David McKendry were the intrepid trio as they joined 41 others in walking across 20 feet of burning embers at Barrow Raiders’ Craven Park stadium.
The coals reached a temperature of 1,236 degrees Fahrenheit, and although the trio found the experience both scary and exciting, they put their fears to one side and walked the walk.
David said: “It was like walking across hot sand, a nice warm fluffy feeling! Would we do it all over again? You bet we would!”
